Forum: classic_tv Subject: A hopefully incomplete list of surviving episodes of 1940s sitcoms and game shows

Here's what I know survives of sitcoms from the 1940s (some of these series have additional extant episodes from the 1950s, obviously, Duh):
"Mary Kay and Johnny" - 1 episode (13 June 1949, NBC)

"The Goldbergs" - 5 episodes (29 August, 5 September, 12 September, 26 September, 10 October 1949, CBS)

"The Growing Paynes" - 2 episodes, maybe as many as 4 (1949 but exact air dates unknown, DuMont)

"The Ruggles" - 1 episode (1949 but exact air date unknown, ABC)

"The Wren's Nest" - 1 episode (1949 but exact air date unknown, ABC)

"The Life of Riley" - 13 episodes (October 4, October 11, October 18, October 25, November 1, November 8, November 15, November 22, November 29, December 6, December 13, December 20, December 27 1949, NBC)

Here's what I know survives of game shows from the 1940s:
A short fragment from a 1947 NBC game show called "Party Line"

Two surviving episodes of the variety series "The Swift Show" (13 May and 27 May 1948) may have featured a quiz show segment (NBC)

An episode of "Americana" from 14 March 1949 (NBC)

An episode of "Break the Bank" from 19 October 1949 (NBC)

An episode of "Auction-aire" from circa october 1949 (ABC)

The unaired pilot for "You Bet Your Life" was shot in 1949 and it survives too.
